Whakapapa Ski Area
New Zealand's largest and most developed ski area, Whakapapa, in only 20 minutes away from The Park Lodge in National Park.
At over 600 acres there is a myriad of ski runs catering for absolute beginners right through to plenty of very challenging slopes for the advanced. For the advanced the off piste skiing at Whakapapa is world renowned. Steep faces and gullies that capture a large amount of powder in the large north facing basin.
But it is not all about the intermediate and advanced skiers. Happy Valley provides large world-class beginners facilities with three lifts providing a safe popular places for all first time skiers and snowboarders.
The Park Lodge has everything you need for your Whakapapa skiing holiday including an outdoor spa pool for the end of the day soak and the Spiral Cafe and Bar for a glass of mulled wine or perhaps a pick me up Schnapps.
